I'm not sure that can be done in Brazilian money :p
If I wanted an Opala, for example, that's half the allowance on that one car, as the cheapest I could find for a 76 model still running is 14 grand.

So find 4 miatas under 30k

Not the most practical solution but hey do what you gotta do.
![]() 08/11/2014 at 19:58 |
|
well how much would a new GTI cost in Brazil just base your budget on that.

Am I allowed to go by the price of a Golf GTI here, or should I stick to 30k USD? Either way, I think it's doable.
![]() 08/11/2014 at 20:03 |
|
Yes you are.
![]() 08/11/2014 at 20:04 |

I just realized that three of these four cars are Chevys which is weird cuz I don't even like Chevrolet generally.

Okay, a pet peeve of mine in the B body circle. Just because you put a new grille on the car does not make it an SS. That really bugs the shit out of me.
![]() 08/11/2014 at 20:05 |
|
Oh, in that case it's closer to 90 thousand bucks. I guess I could come up with something nice for that money.
![]() 08/11/2014 at 20:09 |
|
Lol I hate that too but whatever He's not asking SS money for it so i could care less.

Upon completion, I shall have the blood of many classic cars on my hands. They shall lie in a wasted pile, but I shall be victorious .
https://chicago.craigslist.org/nch/cto/458149…
1977 - 280Z 2+2: $4800. Donor interior. If the 240Z's body is too far gone, I'll build off of this. I'm assuming that the 240Z below is in a lot rougher shape than it says.
https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/cto/461185…
1973 - 240Z: $4500 No pics, but body is supposed to be clean. No engine or transmission. Use this as the platform to strip, stitch weld, etc and build the rest of the car on top of.
https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/cto/461026…
1981 280ZX 2+2: $2000 buy it for the brakes, transmission, differential, and misc. other goodies that will swap over.
https://chicago.craigslist.org/sox/cto/457637…
1973 Chevy Camaro. $12500 - Built 350 w/ automatic transmission. Bought for the rims, tires, and entire engine bay.
https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/cto/461465…
1923 Roadster with a Chevy 283. $7500. Bought for the twin carbs and crankshaft. (seriously? Twin 600s on a 283? Damn!) as well as having backup redundant parts for the 350.
http://swmi.craigslist.org/ptd/4543734596…
A shitton of parts from Dodge Cummins trucks. About $1000 when it's all said and done. I'd pick the best two turbos and run them in a sequential blow-through setup, and enough intercoolers not to blow up .
https://chicago.craigslist.org/sox/pts/459882…
Methanol injection kit. $250
Total: 31350. A little more than 30k, but still within the price of a GTI, and well within it if the 280Z 2+2 isn't necessary. The result is a Chevy 302-powered 1200cfm blow through twin T3 or T4-sized turbo 240Z with 4 wheel disc brakes and big fat muscle car tires on a 5-speed manual. In real life, 99 problems are going to happen the second torque tries to push its way through that engine, but damn if it wouldn't be cool if it all worked.
....when the car isn't working, I'll just walk or take the bus.

http://worcester.craigslist.org/cto/4543792361…
1964 lincoln continental - $4200 - classic resto project

![]() 08/11/2014 at 20:55 |

wow I know Idea that CTS-Vs had gotten that cheap.
![]() 08/11/2014 at 20:56 |

yeah they're getting down there! Nicer examples with less miles can be had for around $18-19

Can I add a Jag to this to make it 5.
![]() 08/11/2014 at 20:59 |

Alright; this is fun!
DD: 2012 Volvo S60 T5 for $15,950 Link Seems really cheap and somewhat sketchy but I'll risk it!
Project Car: 1990 Volvo 240 for $950 Link I want something like this to make custom so this seems like a good pick
Truck (kind of): 03 Subaru Baja for $7500 Link . I have loved these since they were brand new. I need one. And its practical.
Convertible Weekend Fun: 1989 BMW E30 325i Convertible for $7500 Link . This one is just beautiful and the body style is just so iconic and unique. Plus, I feel this will appreciate over time.
So, total? $31,900. So, I'm not too too much over budget. Besides, I feel that I could haggle all of these a bit; maybe even find a cheaper Baja. I would love this garage though. And it covers everything I'd need.

The hatch IS way more attractive, but an immaculate* manual cloth sedan for 10k would be too great to pass up as a DD
(*ish, but 60k is nothing nowadays)

You are now CHEVYCHEVYCHEVY. You hate all imports. You believe the LS7 was a gift from God Himself handed down on par with the tablets to Moses. Your trucks are all lifted, their tow mounts with balls. You scream V8 POWER, as you bounce off track walls. Your engine bay's cramped, not like the crotch of your pants. You'll die in inferno, screaming "look ma, no hands!"
